The Graying of the Record Store
NYT Styles: Records stores are for old people.

I read that article. The kids can get their hip-hop, country, dance and rock music at Best Buy, Target, or on the 'net for dirt cheap. For the most part, they don't need to go to these stores with their pervasive rock snob vibe. The exception in Mpls, of course, is the Electric Fetus, where I continue to see loads of people of all ages and races buying stuff, which is great because I love that store.
