Korn Unplugged

If you're one of those people who stopped watching MTV in the Clinton Reagan administration, you might be interested to know that Korn is the most recent addition to the pantheon that is MTV Unplugged. Except they somehow tricked The Cure to join this ridiculous monstrosity.

I wonder if it ever occurred to Korn that their Unplugged set should be something other than the same songs, played the same way, but with acoustic guitars.

It's absolutely horrible. And I like KoRn. That's right, I said it. I like KoRn because they are loud and heavy and scream about hating people, which is exactly the opposite of what happened in their Unplugged appearance. DAMN YOU KOrN, now I can never publicly defend you ever again.

Just found my Nirvana Unplugged CD that yesterday. Had been missing for two years.

First, Nav - it's clear that you are bashing this without having listened to it because Korn DID radically rework their songs for this set AND added all sorts of very unusual instrumentation. Taylor, sorry you are stuck in the past, but rest assured Korn will be back to the headbanging style you prefer soon. And Jason (and the rest of you for that matter) - I just flat out disagree. This show and the resulting CD are the epitome of what artistic expression should be - fearless embrace of emotion and change. It ain't James Taylor, but it is beautiful.
