Waldenbooks -- one of those stores you're always surprised to see still exists -- is closing half its stores.

They were my favorite mall book store as a suburban child. Forever locked in a fierce battle for the business of the small minority of mall goers who actually chose to exercise their literacy with the B. Dalton at the other end of the mall.
