this is great! as a librarian, this is actually the first time i've heard about the project (sad). i'll be interested to watch this grow.
supplemental to this is www.worldcat.org which is a free publicly accessible world-wide catalog of over 70 million library items. you can see what libraries nearest you or another area have and if they're checked out or not. you can even add your own comments and reveiws to the catalog record.
