iPhone Refunds

If you bought an iPhone last month and you are now annoyed because they're $200 cheaper, then take a look at this thread of people who have demanded credit and gotten it. (Btw, anyone want a "vintage" 4GB iPhone? Cheap!) UPDATE: Steve Jobs officially offers $100 store credit.

heh. I'm in the same boat. I guess it was probably worth having it two months early. And now it's a collectors item.

Weird, they killed the first one. Your link is a different thread, but I've updated it anyway.

I bought an iPhone on Monday. Today I called, ostensibly before some of the AT&T stores knew about the new pricing. 3 stores and AT&T phone customer service said I would have to return the phone and get a new phone to get the $200.00 back (less a 10% restocking fee). So I called Apple, just because I didn't think it is true that it was TRULY preferable for them to have an open-and-used iPhone in stock. Well apparently Apple sent out an email to Apple stores and AT&T stores at around 3:00pm PDT telling them to just refund $200.00. So the Apple rep actually called the store and instructed the manager of the AT&T store what to do.

I guess we know who wears the pants in this marriage.

I bought my iPhone 17 days ago at an Apple store...after a little bitching and alot of phone tag I was $200 happier at 3PM CDT.

I suspect Apple will OK returning the price difference for pretty much everyone in August.

Several of my coworkers and myself received the $200 price adjustment with a little nudging yesterday (all of us had purchased the iPhone in August).

The new thread is also a broken link. Apple is shutting down talk they don't like I guess.

I want my damn refund. Too bad I'm overseas right now and can't deal with the phone tag from here.

But I am, like so many others, not pleased.

So I guess with that extra $100 in Apple store credit, all the early adopters can still feel like Joe cool on the block
