Gawker TV

Ever wonder what a blog newsroom looks like? Here ya go: the NYC Gawker office has a livestream of itself up on Justin.TV. I can't look away. Update: they streamed the booklaunch party last night, and if you happen to look right now, you'll seen Denton is on.

At the Trinity Tripod, circa 1985, when we did pasteup, we did actual pasteup. (I'm not sentimental, mind you - we hated it.) When we got a machine that would print out copy in print-quality format, it used noxious chemicals and took forever.

I did, however, learn Aldus PageMaker. It was the first computer program I learned in depth and still one of the most useful.
