Gawker Media's sci-fi blog, edited by Annalee Newitz, has launched: io9.com (explanation and interview). Also, the new bonus-by-pageview structure has launched and Nick Denton is editing Gawker.

Hmmm, not sure what I think about this so far. Seems both too broad and too narrow.
I did however seriously enjoy that Hulk clip that they dug up.
As far as the new pageview structure, I think this makes a ton of sense, further blurring the line between the writer/ content creator and PR.
What I think will be worth watching here is what kind of editorial the internet as a whole (or that collective entity that bestows pageviews) will reward.
