I find that song to be a creepy actually.

I don't get the ScarJo backlash. That post a few days ago of her singing Falling Down drew all sorts of frowny comments. I kind of like everything I've heard so far. From the comments, I was expecting it to be some kind of horror show but it wasn't at all. She doesn't quite sound like a professional singer in terms of timing or hitting all the notes just right, but that's partly endearing and the rest forgivable - I mean unless you were expecting her to break the old actors-shouldn't-sing-and-vice-versa axiom (I'm looking at you, Hasselhoff). I like her voice. I liked the slight bit of husk in it when she was singing Falling Down. Very cute. And I like it in this one for different reasons. It sounds like somebody I remember, like Siouxie or the girl from This Mortal Coil or the one from Curve or somebody. She also sounds like she's putting on the singing role like a character, as in not being timid. She's laying it out there knowing she's not a top tier singer but is owning it fully. I think that's what I like best - you can tell she's really enjoying it. It's not an album I'll be buying or downloading but I think it's nice and also neat that she's doing it. It doesn't hurt that she's hot and likable, but to counteract the possible hot girl pass I might subconsciously be issuing her, I try to ask myself whether I'd like the music if it was Kelly Osbourne singing it. And I think I still would. So I say A OK.
