Leyner Is Back

The trailer to War, Inc., which I just realized was written by Mark Leyner, a writer no one under 30 probably even remembers, though he was Mr. Generation Definer for Gen Xers at one point. (Though Et Tu, Babe was a big influence on me in college, in retrospect he seems like an '80s writer wedged into the '90s.)

Still got My Cousin, My Gastroenterologist on the shelf here somewhere. Have to agree though with DFW that he took it as far as he could go, and made a bit of a joke of the potential of postmodernism.

This movie made me want to do naughty things to Hilary Duff (for the first time ever) and Marisa Tomei (for the first time since the 90s).

and here is a completely irrelevant piece of information: a very famous Serbian actor is in this movie; he's Hillary Duff's bodyguard. Serbs are apparently the latest craze (Niko Bellic anyone?)
