Minnesota's Right Wing

Sunday NYT story on the bloggers festering around the Senate race in Minnesota, featuring some of the pests that used to bother me daily. How Minnesota has become the hotbed from the right-wing blogosphere is a mystery to everyone, but it's paying off for them. Nonetheless, Al Franken versus Norm Coleman will be the most exciting Senate race of the season.

sure not paying off as far as support for the right wing -- obama's totally crushing mccain in mn polling.

The thing that fascinates me is how news/politics-centric the online media world is here in MN. They all reference each other in some weirdly intellecutally incestuous way that really makes me glad I didn't go down that road.

On the other hand, they also tend to have no clue about what non-political MN blogs are out there. It's like a bunch of nearly color-blind people who can only see colors that are in the red or blue spectrum.
