Idea: a chain of popup stores. (I don't know what it even means, but it seems like everything is now either a chain or a popup store.)

The New Game Show

The SciFi Channel is apparently working with game designers on some type of new show, according to this LAT story. It sounds like it's mixing TV, MMORPGs, and ARGs, which sounds either magnificent or disastrous.

Here in South Korea there are two--TWO!--television networks which show NOTHING BUT people playing games of Starcraft. Also, in my city's X-Games festival there is a special subsection of 'E-sports' which, you guessed it, pretty much means playing Starcraft.

I wonder if there's a market for video-gaming as spectator sport in America? Is it satisfying to watch masterful players of videogames? Or just frustrating? Like when your friend who's so-much-better-than-you always kicks you ass on Mortal Kombat and it's no longer fun anymore?
