Keith Gessen
Keith Gessen has a Tumblr? The 10 of you who know him, know this; the rest of who don't, don't care; this post was worthless. (Oh, but I finally read All The Sad Young Literary Men, so if you wanna debate it in the comments...)

Also noted: The extreme irony of the first "Gawker Commenter Happy Hour" occurring the same night as n+1 taking on the internet.

Could you please explain how Gessen's piece is worthless and you drooled all over Gould's. I agree that Gessen's rant sucked but so did Gould's epic whine. Could you please take a moment to step back from your Gawker-love? I think you're going to give Gawker a hickey from kissing their asses so much.

So what did you think, Rex? I thought it was like Sentimental Education if you split Frederic in thirds and put pieces of him in New York, Syracuse and Israel. There's way more to it than that, but I liked it.

didn't he used to write for FEED?

I don't think that's likely, age-wise.
So the novel. Let's start this way: I don't think it's about me, my people, my generation, my struggle, my identity. Is it somebody's? Perhaps, but I don't know these people. Are they the future? I suspect not. No, actually, I know they're not.
That's where I'll start. Maybe I'll come back to this.

And here, the perfect storm: a mention of his time at feed, a reference to "anonymous blogger TMFTML" (ha!), and the word TWAT.

Yeah, just saw that. And it's causing me to wonder if everyone else is as glued to Gessen's Tumblr as I have become.
And also this: I've hated his last two posts. I feel like he's turning me into his enemy. Gessen, I want to be on your side, but you're forcing me and my friends into victimization mode. There will be no sympathy for this.
