Spencer Pratt on Letterman saying he gets $100K for going to clubs.

Don't you think it's reasonable to think that the same people who read Fimoculous also read Gawker?

Your site was a lot better when half the links weren't piggy-backing on Gawker items or Gawker articles.

That is the most depressing comment ever.

WRONG. WRONG. WRONG! I get to all those links first. Then they pick them up.

Sigh.

I don't know, Gawker has their's time stamped 11:18, I don't think I had seen it here by that time.

But I'll give you the benefit.

I take your larger point though. Since moving to NYC, this blog has become more media-focused. (And Gawker has become more cultural/techy. So the crossover is a little greater.)

I've always said that Fimoc is just the stuff that's interesting to me at the moment, and right now it happens to be more annoying media crap.

Point taken.

Since you moved to NYC your blog (which I still consider required reading)is not just more media focused. That would be OK. It's more GawkerClusterfucky. Totally focused on Gawker-created celebs, hanging out with Gawker writers etc. If that's what you're interested in, that's cool, but the content definitely used to be more diverse.

On the other hand, maybe it's the presence of your Twitter feed that makes it feel that way. I guess pre-Twitter we didn't have real-time updates of your social life.

I suspect that's it. And Flickr/Facebook. I still link to people like Diablo Cody and Tay Zonday, my midwestern brethren, more than anything even remotely Gawker related. I feel like I made the mistake of doing one Julia post and have been paying the price ever since.

I'd like to point out that I linked to this Folio story about The Atlantic four days ago. Gawker just linked to it.

SO THERE.
