LAT's story about DFW's death. It reminds me of the peculiar mainstream media impulse -- the "leave your remembrances in our forum" impulse. After a decade of seeing this (and even sometimes encouraging it), I shouldn't be surprised -- except to note that the idea hasn't really evolved in that time.
