The book blog The Millions is doing their annual Year in Reading list where they ask people to write about their favorite book of the year. My submission attempts to go to bat for Hot Chicks With Douchebags (seriously! read it!) but eventually meanders its way to Live From New York.

I'd be a douchebag to get a hot chick. But they are just so much work.
Nice bio on the millions, but they left out the all-night cramming sessions for bio in McVey Hall.... definitely a defining moment in your pre-med psychotic development.

How did it come to take six years to find out "Live from New York" was an insanely great read? It only took me....ummm, however long before it was out in paperback.

That's more-or-less what I wrote -- I had no idea that, like, everyone read and love this book. I feel kinda dumb for not realizing how important it was.
