These people are fucking idiots. Music videos are cool, but "hulu-for-music" misses the point, which is that most of the time people just what to LISTEN to music.
All they really need to do is incorporate the best features of Pandora, Songza, and Last FM.
I.e., let me hear whatever song I want whenever I want, let me discover new music according to my preferences, and let me build and share playlists. And do it (at least to begin) with the least intrusive ad placements possible.
Oh, and thanks for dropping the RIAA lawsuits.
