i disagree: unlike the intellectually liberated women of this city many women loooove to know who's fucking who and how to get rid of fat w/ no effort. there are also plenty of men who read fishing and auto-racing mags. i fell no affinity to that portion of my gender either.

The Glamour and Cosmos of the magazine world cater to a specific sub-segment demographic in the same way that Martha Stewart Living, Real Simple, O Magazine cater to another. Each magazine trying to differentiate itself from the pack, yet hopelessly attempting to appeal to the broadest audience as possible. While valid points are made in this critique, I can't get past the valley girl'esque "like totally" bimbo speak. Sorry. If you are going to represent my gender, please, please, infuse a little more intellect and a little less "Oh my god Becky, look at her butt." Gracias.
