The College Humor Show

The College Humor Show, which premieres tomorrow at 9:30p on MTV, sure made the media rounds the last few days: NYT, NYO, WaPo, AdAge. The last one, a Dumenco interview with Ricky, is the best. "I haven't asked Barry [Diller] about being on the show, but it would obviously be great to have him do a cameo. He's one of the funniest people I know -- not funny for a guy in his sixties, or funny for a media mogul, but legit funny." And then: "Knowing Nick [Denton], I think he'd much prefer to be a character in Battlestar Gallactica or Friday Night Lights." Trailer.

It wasn't the abomination I thought it might be. I actually liked parts of it - especially Nick Kroll.

It it catches a rating and grows - it's going to help MTV like nobody's business. Makes it for dudes again.

I liked it! Way better production values than I was expecting. Likable cast. I laughed out loud once I think, but was into it. Have to say that I like the trailer even more - very slick (though I HATE pre-roll horror ads. I don't get why sex is bad but terrifying horror movies are fine). It's definitely a good-natured goofy kind of fun - I think it will catch on. I do think more than just dudes will like it.

I agree re: Nick Kroll. He's so good. I think my favorite part of this is it's another great vehicle for up-and-coming New York comedy talent.

Hillarious. Show was fast paced and left me wanting more. The cast was exceptional. First episode stars for Patrick Cassels and Jake Hurwitz. Hope the show keeps the bar high.

It made for good "pass the time on your stationary bike ride" tv watching. Although, I am very disappointed that the cute girl from the begining of the flagpole sitta lipdub wasn't featured.
