Watchmen in New Yorker
I haven't seen Watchmen yet, but here's Anthony Lane: "The good news is that you don't have to stay past the opening credit sequence -- easily the highlight of the film."

I'm going on Thursday at midnight with all the fanboys even though I had never heard of Watchmen until I saw the trailer before Friday the 13th. I'm so excited, I'm so excited, I'm so ... scared.
