New Launch: The Week

[Sorry, I'm sneaking back onto my blog for self-promotion!] I forgot to announce that we relaunched this over the weekend: TheWeek.com. If you know the magazine, you know The Week is in an interesting position, as basically the most internety thing in the entire print world. If you take some of the editorial principles -- aggregation, synthesis, simplicity, clarity -- and apply them to the internet, you could envision something immensely desirable. It's a fantastic staff, so I'm excited about applying our/their ideas over the next few months.... -RX

Still a few bugs on that site, btw. Working them out over the next several days.

Yay! I love The Week.

That has been one of the more interesting things about working on this... nearly everyone I talk to says I LOVE THE WEEK. I can't think of many things that have more passionate consumers.

They're also doing phenomenally well on the newsstand.

Nice job! This reminds me that I've let my subscription lapse and I really need to renew.

I showed a few relatives the magazine over the holidays and they instantly fell in love with the format.

Any chance you can elaborate on the design a bit?

Awesome! But who else consitutes 'we'? I'm assuming its not a royal thing. Curious.

The internet.

Every KSM project is different, but on The Week, "the we" is contributing two bodies plus three consultants (social media, seo, content) and everything else is internal...

But yeah, every situation is different. Sometimes it's just me, sometimes it's a dozen people.

More project announcements coming over the next couple weeks...

Yep, The Week is great. Their web presence has always been a bit lacking, though, so I'm hoping this will be a big step forward. Best of luck!

A quantum leap forward for the site. Way to go!

The one magazine that should really have an RSS feed doesn't seem to. It just has a link at the bottom marked "RSS" that does nothing and goes nowhere. I hope that's on your to-do list.
