Chart Love

This is pretty cool. The faculty at Cornell was asked to each pick a chart (graph, map, diagram, table, etc.) that has been "the most important, remarkable, meaningful or valuable." The results include some of the best info porn of all time.

Luv it. Interesting that at least a couple of profs just cribbed the Napoleon March chart that most have seen a lot thanks to Tufte's talks/books. 0832 Jewell's chart is great - made me laugh. I learned during my Master's that fewer (but better quality) references made for a better paper (and more free time for me). I've really reduced prep/research time significantly (though could probably still reduce even more).

I've now gone through almost all the charts and am surprised how many people submitted charts that they made themselves. Which is totally uncool.
