Worst Designed Everyday Object?

Marginal Revolution: What is the worst designed everyday object? Discuss. (I'd also vote for the jewel case, but not the case itself; rather, the plastic adhesive label that gets pasted over it. Even though it says "Pull To Remove," I'm pretty sure that's a form of sarcasm.)

The label is annoying only because you don't know the employee trick. Take the front of the jewel case off from the bottom (the opposite end from the adhesive label, or "dogbone"). Lift it up and off the case, and the label comes with it, and is now easily removable. Put the cover back on.

Oh, I understand the trick all too well. Just the fact that I have to take apart the disk to get a label off is indication enough of the problem here. And, worse, it still only works for new CDs -- if it's over a year old, the adhesive won't nicely come off.
