Andreessen and Kelly

"Have you been Turing'd?" | "Benjamin Franklin, blogging role model?" Why those two links? Because I wanted to suggest to you that Marc Andreessen and Kevin Kelly (two names most remembered from very early dot-com successes) are perhaps the two best idea bloggers out there right now.

Pfft on Andreessen...Franklin as the patron saint of bloggers is hardly a new idea. +1 for KK; he's an idea machine.

It just happened to be the most recent Andreessen link... you're right, it could've been a stronger piece... so I'll link to some of the other recent ones I really like:

Jim Cramer is still putting random words in random order

Closing out the Bionic Woman file

An hour and a half with Barack Obama

Silicon Valley after a Microsoft/Yahoo merger: a contrarian view

Yeah, enjoy them both. Even when an argument isn't totally solid, or when I don't agree w/ it, I deeply appreciate somebody taking the time to make one -- and being brave enough to actually go on the record with it.

I'd put Umair Haque in this category, too.

It's, of course, much easier to filter, point, & react than to make an argument or defend an idea. I've def. noticed this w/ my own blogging at Snarkmarket. Need to ratchet back up.
