Without irony, Apple's response ad to Microsoft's recent ads is to insinuate that they spend too much money on ads. The marketers always win.

It might not be a dollar short but it's far more than a day late. Despite the amount money Microsoft has infused in advertising to combating Apple's ultra, hipster-esque image, Microsoft's creativity just doesn't match up.

I always thought "Mac" came off as a douche and came to like "PC" better. I also thought the Miscrosoft "we're all PC" ads are surprisingly effective. I say both of these things as a pretty loyal Mac guy.
